Big win for Iver in Sollentuna’s workplace services procurement process

6 November 2019 / Press release

Iver is expanding its range of services for Sollentuna Municipality, thanks to a successful procurement process for workplace services. The value of the initial contract, which has a 3-year term and includes the option of 2+2 year extensions, is estimated at approximately SEK 31 million.

The completion of Sollentuna Municipality’s workplace services procurement process saw Iver chosen to provide a range of services including virtual workplaces, unit management, application management, and hardware lifecycle management. The implementation project will begin immediately, and the services will be rolled out successively, starting at the turn of the year, 2019/2020. Iver already supplies Sollentuna Municipality with a range of server and application operations services, which have been fully operational since the summer, thanks to the successful completion of another procurement process earlier this year.

“Our procurement process work has focused heavily on generating clarity with regard to our provisioning expectations and ensures that the contractual basis for our collaboration is a sound one. By taking a negotiations-based approach, which can be seen as a series of mutual clarifications, we can ensure quality for all concerned parties. All of the suppliers showed a good understanding of our requirements during the procurement process dialogue, and Iver’s standard services gave us the most cost-effective package for the municipality’s operations. We are looking forward to expanding our collaboration with Iver to include workplace services,” says Michael Jansson, IT Director at Sollentuna Municipality.

“We are both proud and delighted with this successful outcome of yet another public sector procurement process, and with the opportunity this gives us to expand the services we provide for Sollentuna Municipality. The deal shows that our modern workplace services, which place a heavy emphasis on the user experience, are attractive. Since winning the contract to deliver service and application operations last spring, we have developed an in-depth knowledge of Sollentuna Municipality’s organisation and needs. And it is through close relationships like this that we gain an understanding of our customers’ operations and are able, through our solutions, to help them achieve their full potential,” says Johan Åkerlund, Regional Manager at Iver.
