Litium signs new agreement with Iver – focus on transition to EU-based cloud infrastructure

17 June 2025 / Press release

Litium, a leading platform in digital commerce, and Iver are extending and deepening their collaboration with a new agreement regarding the delivery of IT infrastructure services. The new agreement signifies Litium’s transition to an EU-based cloud infrastructure, with higher availability, regulatory compliance, and redundancy, provided by Iver’s subsidiary Cleura.

Litium, a leading Nordic provider of cloud-based e-commerce platforms, helps both B2B and B2C companies increase sales, grow rapidly, and create strong online customer experiences. Iver has been providing IT infrastructure services to Litium since 2016 and is now helping Litium take the next step in its strategic development by moving the operation of Litium Commerce Cloud to Cleura Compliant Cloud. This service, specifically designed for businesses with high security and compliance requirements, provides Litium with a robust platform for innovation and developing new digital services. Cleura Compliant Cloud offers three separate availability zones to ensure maximum operational reliability.

"The new generation of Cleura Compliant Cloud sets a new standard for secure digital infrastructure in Europe, and we are proud to have Litum onboard with us. With the scalability and robustness of the service, Litium gains a stable and future-proof foundation for innovation. With three availability zones within the EU, Cleura Compliant Cloud offers an entirely new standard for operational reliability, enabling our customers' critical business services to meet high continuity requirements," says Johan Christenson, founder of Cleura.

"With this upgrade, we are taking a clear and strategic step forward, in close cooperation with Iver and Cleura, to develop further and strengthen our platform. By choosing a European and independent cloud provider, we not only offer our customers increased control and transparency but also future-proof protection that meets both today's requirements and tomorrow's needs. This is a concrete expression of our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation – where high security meets forward-looking solutions," says Martin Billenius, CEO of Litium.

"We have been a supplier to Litium for nearly a decade, and the fact that we are now receiving continued and expanded trust is very positive. It confirms that we meet their expectations. Our dedicated customer team has deep insight into Litium's operations, which allows us to act as a relevant partner and advisor in their digital and strategic development. We look forward to continuing our joint work and contributing to Litium being able to offer their scalable, cloud-based e-commerce platform with the highest possible stability, innovation pace, and full compliance with security and regulatory requirements," says Jesper Hedblom, VP - Business Area Enterprise and Professional Services & Hitech, at Iver.
