The engagement requires flexible and secure solutions, in that not only are several of the operations systems used operationally during call-outs, but many are also integrated with the SOS Alarms system. It is, furthermore, vital that availability can be ensured, even on occasions when other local services and infrastructure are experiencing reduced capacity.
The Greater Stockholm Fire Department provides a 24/7 service in ten member municipalities. Its operations include providing rescue services in conjunction with fires or other emergencies, conducting preventative work aimed at reducing the risk of fires and accidents, and supervising fire safety in places such as schools and hospitals. The region’s anticipated population growth – and the consequent increase in social complexity – is expected to lead to a changing risk scenario and an increased need for emergency and rescue operations.
“The agreement with the Greater Stockholm Fire Department shows that our offering, with its focus on information security and innovation, is attractive to this type of organisation. As we’ve said before, our goal is to capture additional market shares, both within the public sector and amongst clients with advanced security requirements. It is gratifying and pleasing to receive confirmation of the fact that we have the highly-skilled and committed employees necessary to ensure customer satisfaction on the part of the Greater Stockholm Fire Department,” says Magnus Blom, Business Area Manager at Iver.

Iver develops and provides services in the field of IT operations, high security solutions, and application development for medium- and large-sized companies and organisations, and for the public sector. Iver is the personal approach pretender in the Nordic IT operations market. Iver’s registered office is in Stockholm and we operate in Sweden and Norway, but our agenda will see us continue to expand throughout the Nordic region while remaining, at all times, close to our clients. The company’s roots lie in the successful merger between Candidator and DGC. Under EQT’s ownership, we have grown stronger together and acquired Solid Park, Exeo and Ismotec. Iver has a turnover of just over SEK 1.5 billion and approximately 900 employees. Find out more at iver.se.
