Iver signs agreement with the greater Stockholm fire department

Iver has been engaged by the Greater Stockholm Fire Department to assume responsibility for the Department’s IT operations. 24/7 high-level readiness demands a secure and reliable IT environment. The agreement will run for 3 years with an option to extend.
The engagement requires flexible and secure solutions, in that not only are several of the operations systems used operationally during call-outs, but many are also integrated with the SOS Alarms system. It is, furthermore, vital that availability can be ensured, even on occasions when other local services and infrastructure are experiencing reduced capacity.
The Greater Stockholm Fire Department provides a 24/7 service in ten member municipalities. Its operations include providing rescue services in conjunction with fires or other emergencies, conducting preventative work aimed at reducing the risk of fires and accidents, and supervising fire safety in places such as schools and hospitals. The region’s anticipated population growth – and the consequent increase in social complexity – is expected to lead to a changing risk scenario and an increased need for emergency and rescue operations.
