Inera, who are tasked with digitalising the welfare state, extend and expand partnership with Iver

17 October 2022 / Press release

Iver has signed agreements with Inera to extend and expand its partnership with and service provision for Inera in relation to PKI infrastructure and associated services, with special emphasis on information- and cybersecurity.

Inera is a limited company owned by Sweden’s regions and municipalities, and by SKR Företag. Inera is tasked with generating the preconditions for digitalising the welfare state by providing its owners with a common digital infrastructure and architecture. Inera is an existing client of Iver’s and has now elected to extend the partnership in relation to PKI infrastructure and services with particularly stringent information- and cybersecurity requirements. PKI enables secure electronic communication, authentication, and signatures by means of processes and infrastructure that utilise public and private keys and certificates.

”We have been a leading provider of PKI infrastructure and associated services in the Nordic region for a number of years now. These services demand both specialist expertise and the ability to meet the outsourcing market’s most stringent information- and cybersecurity requirements. We are absolutely delighted to have gained Inera’s confidence in this area too, and will now focus on providing services in line with the high level of information- and cybersecurity that has been contractually agreed and which is required for socially critical services,” says Carl-Magnus Månsson, CEO at Iver.

“Inera has been working with our provider, Iver, and their specialists on the development of a completely new solution for the SITHS Identification service for a couple of years now, establishing a new PKI infrastructure that maintains the security level required for this type of service. We have confidence in the solution developed and are looking forward, with the support of our providers, to being able to launch the service in the first half of 2023,” says Dan Bergvall, Section Director, Infrastructure Services, at Inera.

“Health and care services are one of our priority client verticals, and one where we have an extremely strong offering and industry-specific expertise. The expansion of Inera’s confidence in us that will see us upscaling our provision in the field of PKI infrastructure and associated services will strengthen us even further, and we are looking forward to continuing to deliver in a way that ensures Inera is a satisfied and long-term client,” ends Carl-Magnus Månsson.
