Hansa Borg Bryggerier chooses Iver as its new IT partner

27 May 2021 / Press release

Hansa Borg, one of Norway’s biggest breweries and drinks companies, has chosen Iver as its new IT services provider. The agreement has a three-year term and an estimated value of just over NOK 16 million during the first term of the agreement.

Hansa Borg has chosen Iver as its new IT partner and services provider. Hansa Borg Bryggerier is Norway’s biggest Norwegian-owned brewery and drinks company, and comprises Borg Bryggerier in Sarpsborg, Christianssands Bryggeri (CB) in Kristiansand, Hansa Bryggeri in Bergen, the Nøgne Ø craft brewery in Grimstad, and a production and bottling plan for Olden natural mineral water in the Oldedalen arm of the Nordfjorden fjord. Hans Borg has a total of over 400 years of brewing experience and currently represents some of the best-known brands in the Norwegian drinks market.

“The agreement with Iver is the result of a pilot study in which we mapped our current and future requirements. We chose Iver because we concluded that Iver offers services that can offload our in-house IT department by taking over IT operations and support issues. This will enable the business technology department at Hansa Borg to focus more on how technology can help us achieve new business goals, e.g., by increasing our influence on processes and value offers, in cooperation with the organisation and customers,” says Ken Bernes, CDO at Hansa Borg.

“The way in which Iver demonstrated interest in and flexibility when it comes to resolving the challenges we face, thereby making Iver both the long arm of our IT function and an important sparring partner, were all key factors in our choice of Iver as an IT partner,” says Ken Bernes.

“Iver is delighted that Hansa Borg chose us as their IT partner. More and more companies are seeing the benefits of redefining the role of their in-house IT departments, of shifting from the role of IT operations manager to one where they direct and prepare the implementation of new IT technology, based on the in-depth knowledge of the company’s challenges and opportunities that an in-house IT department either has or can acquire. Iver aims to play a role in this transformational landscape, and is keen to ensure that the services we provide increase the brewery and drinks company’s productivity and efficiency,” says Lotta Strömbäck, Regional Manager Norway, at Iver.
