Connect Bus chooses Iver as its new IT partner

19 August 2022 / Press release

Connect Bus has chosen Iver as its new IT partner. Connect Bus is a public transport operator offering urban, regional, and specialist bus traffic in different parts of Norway and Sweden. Connect Bus has around 3,700 employees, 2,600 vehicles in traffic, and a strong focus on sustainable transport solutions.

The Connect Bus corporate group was created through multiple acquisitions of various bus and transport companies in Norway and Sweden. Connect Bus has now signed an agreement with Iver that will enable them to take the next step forward in their development by introducing modern methodologies and providing user-friendly IT support for all the Group’s subsidiary companies. Iver will consolidate and operate the Group’s various IT systems in a modern cloud platform, Microsoft Azure, and in addition to providing service desk and SPOC services, will also provide workplace, security and network operation services for the Group’s 60 operating centres in Norway and Sweden.

“Having an IT provider who can help us with a Groupwide IT platform is a priority for us, here at Connect Bus. The shared platform needs to be scalable, efficient, and future-proof, giving us good control over costs and the ability to offer the same IT services across our entire operations. Iver will help us modernise our IT platform and provide IT services that are a good match for our business strategy,” says Grete Mollestad Tveit, CDO for Connect Bus.

“We’re obviously delighted that Connect Bus has put their faith in us. We will be supporting Connect Bus in their change management journey by consolidating their existing IT platforms and establishing a modern, cloud-based operating model. The public transport sector is undergoing sweeping changes and a modern IT support system is critical in terms of their ability to provide a good customer experience, modernise their operations, and deliver sustainable solutions. We have extensive experience of similar clients, here at Iver, and we are looking forward to working closely with Connect Bus,” says Magne Solberg, EVP Enterprise, at Iver.
