Iver signs new, multi-year agreement with Nordic Choice Hotels

14 December 2022 / Press Release

Nordic Choice Hotels, one of the Nordic region’s biggest hotel groups with over 200 hotels in the Nordic and Baltic regions, and Iver are expanding and extending their partnership. A new three-year agreement has been signed including not only the operation of Nordic Choice Hotels’ core applications, but also a substantial focus on continued digital and sustainable development.

Iver and Nordic Choice Hotels have been working closely together for many years now, with Iver responsible for the operation of the hotel chain’s core applications. The new agreement entails an extension and expansion of the previous one, but places greater emphasis on the use of modern, scalable, and more sustainable services and agile methodologies. The new agreement also includes advisory and consultative services, a service desk function, and management of Azure platforms.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have a new agreement with Nordic Choice Hotels in place. We’ve worked closely with them over the past few years, which has given us a very good understanding of their business and strategy. The hotel industry is developing rapidly and is constantly being challenged by a target group that expects fast, efficient, and problem-free service. But at the same time, the industry’s business models are vulnerable, with market conditions that can change overnight – and the demands that all this places on infrastructure, scalability, and cost control are considerable. We will continue to be a long-term partner for Nordic Choice Hotels, with continuous digital development that focuses on sustainability on the agenda,” says Magne Solberg, EVP Enterprise, at Iver.

“Iver has become an important strategic partner for Nordic Choice Hotels, and we are happy to have entered into a new agreement with them. Our partnership has developed over time and Iver has demonstrated their ability to develop their service provision package in line with our changing needs and strategic orientation. Going forward, we will be working together to develop Nordic Choice Hotels’s digital potential, with the emphasis on transitioning to cloud services. Iver will be an important partner in helping us realise our wide-ranging ambitions to develop better customer experiences and a more cost-effective operational model through increased digitalisation,” says Eirik Bogsnes, EVP, Hotel Services at Nordic Choice Hotels.

“Our ongoing focus is on providing stable and secure operations. But we also take a forward-looking approach in our work with Nordic Choice Hotels, concentrating on a more future-orientated service provision and the increased use of SaaS and cloud services – which dovetails very neatly with our own service and skill development work. I’m proud of the Iver team that is involved in progressing Nordic Choice Hotels’ digital development,” ends Magne Solberg.
